Mary “Diane” Lott, age 76 of Cohoctah Township, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 6, 2015. Born on June 28, 1938 in Howell, she was the daughter of William G. and Mary R. (Gehringer) Duris. A lifelong Cohoctah Township resident, Diane was a registered nurse having worked for Doctors Stuber, Schmitt and May in Howell. She had also worked in the family business as a bookkeeper at the Lott Elevator in Cohoctah for 25 years. Diane enjoyed golfing, playing cards and spending winters in Florida. Beloved wife of the late Daniel E. Lott, Jr. who preceded her in death on September 9, 2010. Loving mother of Elizabeth Lott of Clio, James (Cindy) Lott of Cohoctah, John (Denise) Lott of Durand and Brian (Jill) Lott of Cohoctah. Proud and loving grandmother of Jennifer and James; Danielle, Kelsey, Adam, Ryan and great-grandson, the late Cooper. Sister of Susan (Maury) Cardon of Rochester Hills, Gerry (James) Peek of Melborn, Florida, Betty Lucas of Minnesota, Steve (Linda) Duris of Ann Arbor, Julie (Richard) Wolinski of Dexter, Dan Duris of Tampa, Florida, Kathleen Duris of Dewitt and the late John, his wife Linda of Charlotte. Diane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 E. Washington Street (at Fowler St.), Howell where her funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 12:00 noon (in state at church 11 a.m.). Visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. (Rosary 7 p.m.) at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800). Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph/DSA (Diocesan Services Appeal) or Catholic Charities, 220 E. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI 48843.
