SMITH, Daniel "Danny" Matthew - Of Flint, age 58, went to be with Jesus, Friday, September 15, 2023 at his residence.
A combined funeral service for Danny and his mother will be held 1pm Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Don Dennis officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be directed to the "family's wishes".
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Danny was born in Flint, Michigan on March 10, 1965, the son of Jack and Phyllis Smith. Danny graduated from Kearsley High School, Class of 1983. He enjoyed anything outdoors, trophy deer hunting, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, camping, spending time up north and watching the Detroit Red Wings. Danny and his brother Jeff had a love for one another that the two of them cherished. Danny was employed by Lear Corporation and was a member of UAW Local #659.
Surviving are father, Jack Smith and Kim Swerdan;
brothers, Jeffery (Barbara) Smith and Tim (Tabitha) Smith;
sister, Amy (Brian) Jacobs;
uncle, Mack Smith;
nieces and nephews, Jacob (Shelby) Smith, Jennifer (Brandon) Mossman, Jessica (Zachary) Orr, Cole Jacobs and Rafe Jacobs, Brandon and Heaven Baker;
great nephews and nieces, Blake and Natalie Mossman, Colton and Lucas Smith, Asher Orr;
and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Smith.
