Phillip S. Jordan, 71, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his home.
Born April 28, 1951, to William and Laura (Shannon) Jordan in Flint, MI, he was a longtime
resident of Davison. Phil worked for General Motors and retired after 32 years from Metal
Fabrication. Phil moved to Lincoln in 2001, where he was a member of the Downtown
Development Authority for five years, the Brownlee Lake Association, and of the Lincoln Lions.
Phil served as the President of the Village of Lincoln for 12 years. Phil was active in the
downtown streetscape project, securing the funding for the sewer, as well as numerous other
projects. His ability to mediate allowed the Village to accomplish many things under his
leadership. Phil enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, boating, and wood carving. He was a
member of the Church of the Nazarene in Oscoda. In the last five years, Phil had rededicated his
life to the Lord. It gives us peace to know he is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.
Phil is survived by three sons, Phillip W. (Charla) Jordan, Scott A. (Stacie Ward) Jordan, and Jon
R. (Monica Tenhave) Jordan, seven grandchildren, Wayne (Alyssa) Hudson, Hunter, Chase, Colt,
Cassi, and Kinsley Jordan and Brantley Vanochten, two great grandchildren, Sophie and Zayne
Hudson, his mother, Laura Sayers, his sister, Debbie (Tom) Harvey, as well as several nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepdad, James Sayers on
November 16, 2022.
Phil is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will be Sunday, April 30, 2023, from
4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Monday, May 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the
funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jim Young will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes
Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to the Church of the Nazarene, Oscoda. |
