HAWLEY, Russell A. – Of Garden, Michigan, formerly of Swartz Creek, age 82, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home in Garden.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Harvest Time Tabernacle, G-7370 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Reverend Dan Coleman officiating.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Visitation 1- 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pentecostal Church of God World Missions or Michigan District PCG Impact Youth Missions.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Russell was born in Essex, Missouri on May 3, 1938, the son of the late William and Elizabeth Hawley.
On May 11, 1957 he married Patricia Miller.
He was a charter member of Deliverance Tabernacle.
Mr. Hawley was employed by Fisher Body and Buick City for 38 years, retiring in 2003 and was a member of UAW Locals 598 and 651.
Surviving are wife, Patricia;
6 children, Russell (Dawn),
Randy (Charlotte),
Danny (Tammy),
Julie Hawley,
Thomas and Tammy,
Lorie (Dan) Coleman;
16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren;
one brother, Pete (Gayle) Hawley;
aunt, Iva Hawley;
special nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, baby boy.
