ROSS, Wilma A. (Lassiter) – of Flint, age 75, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 and 11 AM Thursday, December 2, 2021 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Wilma was born in Newport, AR on April 26, 1946, daughter of the late Jack and Christine (McDougal) Lassiter. She married James Ross on April 25, 1964. Wilma was a devoted wife and a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Wilma graduated from Kearsley High School and received her LPN from Mott Community College. She was a nurse for more than 20 years before she retired. She enjoyed spending her free time tending to her rose garden.
Wilma is survived by her children, Tina (Leroy) Jenkins and Tracey (Kevin) Coughlin; 6 grandchildren, April, Amber, Ashley, Kayla, Tiffany, and Whitney; 6 great-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Danielle, Harper, Dan, Eli and Brantley; siblings, Judy Harmon and Wade (Iris) Lassiter; niece, Sarah; nephew, Kelly; many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; brothers, Larry and Boyd and nephew, Jack.
