GREEN, Barbara Jean “Barbie” – Of Grand Blanc, age 83, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday December 20, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County or a Veterans organization of your choice.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Flushing, Michigan on September 8, 1938, daughter of the late Harry and Jean (Decker) Detro.
She was a member of Calvary Community Church for many years.
She loved reading, especially Danielle Steele books. Barb also enjoyed swimming; and had a love for animals. She liked watching Michigan Football with her grandson. She particularly liked Tom Brady and Blake Shelton and his music.
Above all else Barb loved her family; she was the “Best Grandma in the world”.
Surviving are husband, Michael;
daughter, Angie (Jim) Hyatt;
grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley)Hyatt and Arica (Ben) Baker;
great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Ben and Aubrey and
brother, Jack Detro;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
