Rice, Marsha – of New Lothrop, age 80, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Maple Woods Manor. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery, Pastor Frank Yount to officiate. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Food Bank of Michigan.
Marsha was born on January 28, 1946, in Flint, Michigan to the late Lester and Burnice (Larkin) Tupper. A graduate of Flushing High School. She married her beloved husband, Milford "Mel" Rice, on December 27, 1981, and together they built a life rich in love and laughter. Her steadfast faith and dedication were evident in her many years of service working as a secretary at The Swartz Creek Pentecostal Church of God and later continuing to support her church community at Victory Tabernacle in Clio. Marsha's heart was always open as she devoted her time to helping those in need. Whether volunteering at the Montrose Senior Center, working at The Mission in Maple River, or at The Open Cupboard Food Pantry in Montrose, her compassionate spirit made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals. Beyond her community service, Marsha cherished her family above all else. She took great joy in family gatherings, sharing stories, fishing trips, crafting, and camping at The Flats. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them, filling their lives with love and laughter. Marsha's gentle spirit and generous heart will leave an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Surviving are: Husband, Milford “Mel” Rice Jr.: Children: Michelle (Dan) Brown, David Feller III, Teri (Jamie) Worden Hoeft; Stepchildren: Brook (Craig) Terryah, Heather LaMarche, Tiffany (Junior) Aguado and Keith (Cheryl) Rice; Grandchildren: Brandon Brown (Katie), Lilynna (CJ) Maddox, Michael Worden III (Michelle), Kennedy Hoeft, William Hoeft, Cora Hoeft (Connor), Kayle Terryah (Anthony), CJ (Sam) Terryah, Miranda Stewart, Jenna Emerson, Russell (Allie) Wolford, Melanie Mims, Brooklyne Mims; Graissyn Draper; She was blessed with four great-grandchildren; The father of her children, David (Sue) Feller. She was preceded in passing by her dear Son-In-Law, Michael “Mike” Worden Jr,; Granddaughter, Isabella Mims, and In-Laws, Milford (Ruth) Rice Sr.
