Juanita Mae Raymond, 87, a lifetime Lapeer resident, died Saturday February 21, 2026. She was born May 4, 1938 in Lapeer to parents Theo and Mary (Ludington) Smith. She married Floyd Raymond on April 27, 1957 in Lapeer.
Mrs. Raymond was a wonderful mother who worked at Lapeer County Bank for years and some for the former Perkins Flowers. Juanita sewed a fair amount and was avid at crocheting, even in recent days. One of her main passions was flower gardening; she so enjoyed annual spring trips to the florist/garden shop for spring plantings. She will be missed.
Juanita is survived by her daughter: Debora (Allen) Coates of Flint, grandchildren: Alyssa (Matt) Loessel; Hannah (Mike) Brown; Shelby (Brennen) Diehl; Ashley (Greg) Hay, great-grandchildren: Grace; Kris and Kaci. She was preceded in death by her son: David, husband: Floyd as well as her aforementioned parents.
Mrs. Raymond’s visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Tuesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Her funeral will be 11:00am Wednesday at Muirs. The family will receive folks the hour prior (10-11), Wednesday. Burial will follow, in Stiles Cemetery.
