HANNON, Anita Marie (Harp) – of Burton, MI, age 62, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023 at her home. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI, 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Alliance of Michigan, in Anita’s memory.
Anita was born in Flint, MI on August 31, 1960, daughter of the late Edward R. and Mae F. (Neumann) Harp. She was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1979. Anita retired as a manager from Tim Hortons in Davison, MI after 20 years of service. After retirement, Anita was employed with Kearsley Community Schools, working at Dowdall and Fiedler Elementary Schools. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Anita enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles with her husband, Troy, hosting large family gatherings, traveling around the United States and attending Aerosmith concerts (especially to see Steven Tyler).
Anita is survived by her husband of 32 years, Troy Hannon; 5 children, Kristen (Joseph Eickhoff) Meyer of Burton, MI, Tara (Brian) Johnson of Burton, MI, Sara (Jason) French of Flint, MI, Sean (Tara) Hannon of Clio, MI and Louise Brandt Jacobsen of Denmark; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward R. and Mae F. Harp and her brother, Curtis Harp.
