LEMING, Robert “Bob” Raymond Pastor – of Montrose, age 84, died Monday, April 10, 2023, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Montrose Family Worship Center. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Bob was born September 7, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ossie and Arvena (Moore) Leming. He grew up in Columbus, Ohio and attended school there. He went onto the Kentucky Bible Institute and was ordained by Churches of Christ in Christian Union in 1983. On September 1, 1972, he married Judith C. Vanderpool in Columbus, Ohio. Bob was the pastor of the Montrose Family Worship Center for 37 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards. Bob also loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren dearly. He had a love for pets including his dogs Sassy, Moses, and Teddy. Bob was a people person and loved doing the fish fries at the church.
Surviving are: Wife of 50 years Judy Leming; Children, Misty (Ryan) Suhre, Bob Leming, Sherry (Dwight) Fisher, David Vanderpool, Steve Hamilton, Michelle (Jason) Wheeler; Grandchildren: Taylor Leming, Tori Suhre , Bella Suhre, Bobby Leming, Danielle Leming, Mark Leming, Jessie Leming, Christian Leming, Debra Leming, Michael Gavin, Steven Gavin, Brian Vanderpool, Ryan Vanderpool, David Vanderpool, Steven Vanderpool, John Vanderpool, Carrie Vanderpool, Joseph Vanderpool, Elizabeth Vanderpool, 19 Great grandchildren, and 2 Great great grandchildren; Siblings, Joanne Ellyson, Patty Johnson, Bud Leming; Sister in laws, Judy Leming, Carol Leming; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Daughter, Debbie Leming; Siblings, Jeanie Leming, Jim “Sonny” Leming, John Leming; Grandson, Matthew Vanderpool; Brother in laws, Dave Johnson, Charles Ellyson.
