BOYD, ROSELLEN – Of Mundy Township, age 91, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at her residence.
Per her request, no funeral service will be held.
Rose was born in Rector, Arkansas on July 30, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles and Verla (Vangilder) Kirkland; the oldest of their seven children.
After graduating from Marmaduke High School in 1949, she relocated to Flint, Michigan, with Melvin Boyd and they raised their four children there.
Rose retired from Michigan Bell Telephone and she and Mel spent many happy retirement years in Greenbush, Michigan and Ellenton, Florida.
She is survived by son, Stanley Boyd of California;
daughters, Sue Borel of Texas, Jane and husband Mark Withey of Michigan;
9 grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, John, Erin, Devon, Michael, Andrew, Melanie and Bonnie;
8 great-grandchildren;
one brother and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; son, Steven; grandson Melvin and sister, Kay.
