HORVATH, John G. Jr. – of Clio, age 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Majestic Care of Flushing. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place, and no services will be held.
John was born on December 22, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, to the late John and Anna (Koval) Horvath, Sr. He graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Mt. Morris with the class of 1959. In October of 1963, John married Carol Crane and together they raised two children, enjoying 22 years of companionship. He owned and operated Westwood Jewelers in Flushing for over 10 years before moving to Florida to enjoy retirement. There, he found love again with Sandra King, and they spent many happy years together until her passing on June 20, 2007. John enjoyed the simple things in life, like working on classic cars, boating, and snowmobiling. He was kind, caring, and beloved by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Son, Christopher Horvath; Daughter, Jill McFarlane; Granddaughter, Abbey Gordon; Grandson, Mason McFarlane; Sisterts: Mary Ann (Ed) White, Joan Schneider (Scott), and Judy (Tim) Blower; Special friend, Kay Jacob.
