KEARLY, Kathleen – of Genesee, MI, age 82, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1-4 PM Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Kathleen’s memory.
Kathleen was born in Harrisville, MI on May 22, 1941, daughter of the late Glenwood and Margaret (Ritchie) Stinchcombe. She married Roy Kearly, Jr. on October 23, 1959 in Harrisville. Kathleen and Roy co-owned Hicks Tackle Shop in Flint. In 1968 they purchased a cabin on Secord Lake where many happy family memories were made. Kathleen and Roy enjoyed trips to the casino. Kathleen’s fur baby, Charlie, will miss her greatly. Of all the things that Kathleen enjoyed doing, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Roy Kearly; children, Mark (Maria) Kearly and Kelly (Mike) Thibaut; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Rikki) Thibaut, Carie (AJ) Babcock, Candace (Travis) Smith, Brittany (Jackson) Campbell, Madison Kearly and Kendall Kearly; 8 great-grandchildren, Connor, Jace, Michael, Andrew, Kirra, Lydia, Alice, Wayne and one on the way; sister, Margie (Harvey) Smith; special niece and goddaughter, Amy Kathleen Smith; and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Henry Stinchcombe, Virginia Downer, Goldie Edwards.
