PERRY, Landon Scott – of Davison, age 28, lost his battle with addiction on Sunday, February 27, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, March 7, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah Larose-Nettel officiating. Burial will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Paths of Flint, in Landon’s memory.
Landon was born in Flint, MI on November 18, 1993, son of Andrea (Burke) Perry-Lee and the late Scott Perry. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 2012, graduating with honors. He loved the University of Michigan Football, fishing and hunting with his best buddy, his grandpa. Landon had a heart of gold. He was intelligent, kind, loving and goofy, a good friend and always tried to find the positive in a situation. Landon tried his best to overcome his demons, which is where his addiction started. Drugs offered Landon an escape from his daily struggles. On April 22, 2021, he overdosed on heroin laced with fentanyl and was in ICU. After being released, Landon went to drug rehab at New Paths and started his journey to sobriety. After a few setbacks, Landon became the person we knew and loved before drugs consumed his life several years ago; he was sober for 8 months, working a job that he loved at Conagra Brands in Imlay City. He was happy, optimistic, and looked forward to what the future held for him. His family would like to speak the truth about Landon’s addiction in hopes that it saves even one life. We know the pain of his suffering and we know the pain of our own suffering from his addiction. Landon is now at peace and reunited with those that he missed dearly and painfully.
Landon is survived by his mother, Andrea (Chris Lee) Perry-Lee; sisters, Alaina (Nathan Freeman) Perry and Chloe Lee; niece, Addilyn Freeman; step-brother, Alex (Joie) Lee; aunt, Trisha (Tod Watkins) Burke; cousin, Victoria Burke; great-grandma, Joyce Burke; special friend, Tyler Owen. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott E. Perry; grandparents, Larry W. and LaVonne E. (Smith) Burke.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to New Paths and Landon’s Recovery Coach, Stephanie.
