STALEY, Sherri - of Maple Grove Twp., age 57, passed away peacefully at her residence, Sunday, December 27, 2020 with her husband Tom by her side. Family will receive friends at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Thursday December 31, 2020, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Due to Covid and government regulations, only 25 people are allowed in our chapel at one time and face masks are required. Thank you for your understanding. Private funeral and burial service will take place.
Sherri was born April 19, 1963 in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter to Charles and Mary Jane (Tice) Robertson. Her family moved to Michigan, and she graduated from Swartz Creek High School with the class of 1983. On August 27, 1988 she married Thomas L. Staley in Oakley, Michigan. She was employed for many years with Resident Advancement as a Group Home manager. Sherri loved to jump in the family 5th Wheel with Tom and go camping. She also enjoyed going to Blue Grass Festivals and just loved being around people
Surviving are: Husband of 32 years: Tom Staley of Maple Grove Twp.; Mother: Mary Jane Dawson of Swartz Creek; Sisters: Virginia Snedeker of Edinburg, PA and Debbi (Bill) Rogers of Amsterdam, NY; Brother: Dorman Dawson of Swartz Creek; Brothers in Law: Ed Staley of Ecorse and Greg (Patty) Staley of Burton; Sister in Law: Barb Staley (Keith); also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; Brothers; Chuck Robertson in 2018 and Greg Robertson in 2005; Parents in law: Arthur and Martha Staley; Brothers in law: Ron Snedeker in 2020 and Richard Staley in 2001.
