MCCORMICK, Viola Elzie - Of Swartz Creek, age 92, died Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Argentine Care Center.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held.
Viola was born in Collinsville, Alabama on December 27, 1931, the daughter of the late George and Nellie (Chapman) Cunningham. She loved going to the casinos, traveling, watching the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR and doing word searches. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are daughters, Deborah J. Snyder, Phyllis and husband Craig Murdock;
step-daughter, Patty Kelly
son-in-law, Ron Murphy;
daughter-in-law, Laura Spangler;
grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Goward, Carrie (Sean) Struble, Stefanie (Tommy) Jones, Justin (Stephanie) Murdock, Nicholas (Carra) Murdock, Jamie (Jazmine) Murdock;
great-grandchildren, Lucas, Makena, Jabriel, Landen, Sophia, Bryson, Casey, Hogan, Mackenzie, Brandon, Drew, Logan, Abby, Emma and Kaylee;
great-great-granddaughter, Spencer;
many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Pete”, son-in-law, Brian Snyder, step-son Robert “Buddy”, step-daughter, Pearline Kelly, sisters, Judy and Jackalyn.
