GRILLIOT (SHEARRER), Mary Louise - Of Flint, age 85, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at her residence, with her family by her side.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Jason Crum officiating.
Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Roy Shearrer and Edith Chamberlain.
On July 27, 1957 she married Evan Grilliot.
Mary graduated with a delayed high school diploma from Kearsley High School Class of 1977.
Mary enjoyed dancing, bowling, crafting, going to the senior center, where she participated in line dancing and recitals.
First and foremost Mary loved life and cherished spending time with her grandbabies.
Surviving are two daughters, Vicki and husband Dale Palmer, Michelle and husband Al Bartholomew;
4 grandchildren, Krystal and husband Justin Humphries, Kayla and husband Steven Worden, Chantel Bartholomew and Amanda Bartholomew;
4 great-grandchildren, Addilee and Kye Humphries,
Brecken and Brynlea Worden;
sister, Barbara and husband Donald Quest; half-sister, Sarah and husband Stanley Kelley and many nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Evan, in 2008.
