Vettel, Doris “Ann” of Flushing, age 75, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at her home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Lenz will officiate. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at Caterer Family (formerly Rossell) Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery.
Ann was born in Flint, Michigan on September 24, 1950, the daughter of John and Vera (Floyd) McInnes. She married William Vettel on May 23, 1981, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Flint. Ann worked for over 20 years at Springview Elementary for Flushing Schools as a Paraprofessional. She enjoyed camping in Ludington and loved scrapbooking but her greatest joy was being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her husband of 45 years, William; children, Emily and husband Mark Imbo, Andrew and wife Kaity Vettel; grandchildren, Isabella and Madeline Imbo, Brynnley, Hudson, Lincoln Vettel; brother, Doug and wife Jackie McInnes; sister, Nan McInnes; and beloved friends, Kim, Kelly, and Barb. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jan Basco.
