KOAN, Clifford Max - Age 91, of Flushing, passed away, June 4, 2022. Funeral Services 11:00 AM Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation 5PM- 8:30 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until the time of Service Thursday. Interment Bendle Cemetery. Memorial Contributions would be appreciated in Clifford's memory to: Wounded Warriors, Heart to Heart Hospice, or to the charity of donors choice.
Clifford was born, October 13, 1930 in Flushing, the son of Albert and Carrie (Dowen) Koan. He married the "Love of His Life", Janet Yott in Flushing on August 2, 1952. Clifford proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he was a member of the 6th Tank Battalion and the 24th Infantry. He proudly flew his American Flag and his Support our Troops Flags daily! Clifford was a devoted lifelong Farmer working the family farm with Janet and his four daughters. He enjoyed working Jig Saw Puzzles and tinkering in his work shop. Clifford had a keen engineering mind and could fix just about anything! He especially enjoyed spending time with his grand children and great grand children, often serving them his trademark York Peppermint Candies.
Clifford is survived by his devoted daughters: Diane Trevorrow, Sandra (Robert) DaFoe, and Shirley (Ron) Dieck; grandchildren, Melissa (Dan) Eller, Monica Nock, Marcie (Eric) Hash, Daniel (Mandy) Anthony, Sara (David) Baldwin, Lisa (Aaron) Thurston, Kristie (fiance, Matthew Metz) DaFoe, Chad (LeeAnn) Smith, Matthew (Julia) Smith, Jordan (Jenny) Dieck, and Justin (Casey) Dieck; great grandchildren, Donaven Eller, Levi Anthony, Nathan, Emma, and Owen Baldwin, Austin and Alivia Thurston, Hailee and Brody Smith, Matty Jo Smith, Jolie Dieck; son in law, Karl Nock; and his beloved dog, Molly.
Clifford was preceded in death by: his parents; wife Janet; daughter, Carol Nock; sons in law, Greg Smith, and Irv Trevorrow. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
