YOUNG, Richard Guy - Age 92, of Linden, passed away at home on January 4, 2021. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. The Mass will be live-streamed at 10AM Saturday, January 9, 2021 on Mr. Young's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John Outreach or the Linden Historical Society. Richard was born December 19, 1928 in Gregory, MI, the son of A. Vincent and A. Maude (Kuhn) Young. He was a graduate of Pinckney High School and Ferris State. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was married to Susan Campbell on November 10, 1951 in Pinckney; they had resided in Linden since 1968. Mr. Young was a pharmacist, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the USS Vesole Association, American Legion, Linden Historical Society and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Andrew (Barbara) Young, S. Jennifer (David) Norton, James (Mary) Young, Jeffrey Young and Elizabeth (Amanda) Young; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Guy Young; four sisters and five brothers. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
