BARTON, Kirt Alan, age 65 of Grand Blanc, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2023. A Memorial Service, and military honors, will take place at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Saturday until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kirt to the Humane Society of Michigan (www.geneseehumane.org).
He is survived by his daughter Ashley Barton of St. Petersburg, FL and brother, Mark (Kris) Barton of Flushing.
Kirt was born on May 28, 1957 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clinton and Patricia (Rivet) Barton. He graduated from Flint Northern High School before serving our country with the United States Air Force. Kirt worked for, and retired from, General Motors and in his younger years he enjoyed golfing and traveling with friends. He was a hard worker with a big heart. After his retirement, Kirt appreciated spending time with his dogs (Sammie and Yogi), detailing cars and visiting the casino.
Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Craig Barton.
