Age: 87
Community: Grand Blanc, MI

Wanda Lee Stork left this world for a more perfect one on June 30, 2021 with her beloved husband, Robert Stork, holding her hand.

Wanda was born in southeastern Missouri to Lester and Sadie Hyten in 1933. She moved to Michigan in second grade and attended Coolidge School in Flint. After attending Utley High School, she married Vern Troyer and had two daughters: Diana and Denise. She went on to be a lab technician working in various medical facilities and later a medical assistant managing the office of Harvey Ring, D.O. for over 30 years.

In 1989, she married Robert Stork, whom she had known all her life. Together they traveled, spent time on their boat on Lake Michigan, enjoyed a condo in Saugatuck, winters in Florida and many travels around the country and the world.

Wanda was a long time member of West Court Street Church of God and, most recently, of First Congregational Church of Christ in Grand Blanc. Wanda loved God, her family, and was the caregiver of several family members over the years. She loved socializing, had many dear friends, and was a born organizer of fun activities.

She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Robert; daughters, Diana (Jonathan Nugent) and Denise (John Dennis); grandchildren: Caleb (Rebecca Hayes), Brent (Elizabeth), Amanda (Jonathan Hockenberger), and Nathan (Kate); and great grandchildren: Benjamin, Jade, William, Isla, Claire, Ruby, Matthew, Percy and Quincy; step-children: John Stork(Janet) and Jeff Stork; and step- grandchildren: Sean, Eric, Donal and Patrick.

Wanda also leaves behind her siblings: Gene Hyten, Jerry Hyten, Phyllis Hecker, Mary Portscheller-Chapman, Jane Martin, Wayne Pruss, Carolyn Sneed, Marilyn Brown, and Lori Miller. She was preceeded in death by her parents and siblings: Dean Breece, Charles Breece, Robert Breece, and Louise England.

Wanda was loved by family, friends and neighbors and will long be remembered for her smile and willingness to help where needed.
