Passed away on Monday morning, June 30, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospitals, Ann Arbor. Age 63 years. She was born on March 4, 1951 in Saginaw to John & Helen (Klein) Bishop. Linda was a very devoted 7th and 8th grade science teacher at Kuehn-Haven Middle School in Montrose. She had 20 years of service.
Linda enjoyed gardening, canning and baking. She was especially known for her banana bread. Linda’s family and grandchildren were a very important part of her life.
Surviving are three children; Rachael (Michael) Jungblut of Lowell, Ryan (Mary Lynn) Jordan of Chesaning, Courtney Richardson of Oakley, four grandchildren; Kira, Krista, Abigail and Grace, her mother, Helen, brothers and sisters; Judy (Ernie) Birchmeier of New Lothrop, Bob (Kathy) Bishop of DeWitt, Ed (Diane) Bishop of Chesaning, Becky (Bill) Bodnar of Chesaning, Jaculyn Harris of Chesaning, Sandy (Rick) Damveld of Dorr, sister-in-laws, Harriett Bishop and Edith Bishop of Chesaning, her very dear friend, Dave Thornton and also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John, brothers, Bernard and Raymond, sister, Cheryl and nephew, Jonathan Harris.
Funeral liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Michael Church in Maple Grove. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in the St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home in Chesaning on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. and also at the church on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
