Stanley W. Orriss of Davison age 62 died Saturday November 7, 2020 at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors Saturday November 14, 2020 from 12:00 -4:00PM at Hansen Funeral Home. Due to CDC guidelines, social distancing / visitation limits will be followed.
Stanley was one of 7 children blessed upon Ardella and Stanley Orriss Sr, for whom he was named. Though his mortal ascent was very sudden and unexpected, he leaves behind a wide and loving network of both family and friends. Although Stanley struggled with health issues over recent years, he still found the spirit and vitality to engage life, whatever it brought. He viewed life with unique wonder and positivity, so rare among us. In his personal time he enjoyed and excelled at bowling, sightseeing and travel, and the collection of modeled curios, his favorite being replica lighthouses.
Survived by close family Sister Debbie (Mike) Fiorucci, Godsons Michael Fiorucci and Rome Fiorucci, Loving nieces Ardella Fiorucci, YNCS Angela Fiorucci, Marcella (Kyle) Bufalini and nephew Clayton Bufalini. Special friend and companion Lillian Friends picked as family, Greg (Phyllis) Haight, Diane (Mike) Pelky, Victor Desjardins, Galina Frasier. His dearest of friends and fellow travelers at Flint Blind Bowlers. Sister Jenny (Bill) Burrows, Jim (Judy) Orriss and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Sister Becky Orriss, brother Boyd Orriss and twin brother Steven Orriss.
Stanley leaves behind his extended family at Americana Assisted Living in Davison. Present and loving during these trying times, your compassion, love and care gave Stanley joy in his life.
Although he will be missed dearly, we know that the tribulations of his time on earth are replaced with peace forevermore. May his new world be one filled with the care and joy that he so richly deserves.
