RUMFORD, DON. – of the Clio and Montrose area, formerly of Fenton, age 56, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 4PM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 4PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Don was born on January 16, 1958 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Robert and Janette (Kirby) Rumford. He married Carolyn Brant on December 20, 2012 at their home in Montrose. Don was a mechanic most of his life. His passion was racing and race cars. He enjoyed classic movies and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: wife, Carolyn Cameron; son, Randy Nelson; daughter, Malia Rumford; daughters in law, Earla (Shawn) Vanover Richards, Teresa (Mike) Vanover Luark; son in law, Dale (Heather) Russell Cameron; brothers, Mike (Deanna), Chip (Wendy); sisters, Sherry Badour, Wendy (Larry) Armstrong and Angel; grandchildren, Aubrey and Gabe; 14 extra grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; sister in law, Dianne (David) Robinson; brothers in law, James and Daniel.
