Samuel “Sam” L. Sanders, age 69, of Columbiaville died November 19, 2020 at home with his loving family beside him.
Sam was born September 6, 1951 in Goodrich, Michigan to the late Horace and LaVerta Sanders. He served his country honorably in the Army National Guard.
Sam married Julie A. Stacy on March 2, 1973 in Hadley, Michigan. He attended Calvary Bible Church before getting sick, and was a past member of the Columbiaville Sportsman Club, UAW, and retired from General Motors in 2005 from the Grand Blanc Metal Fab plant. Sam has a passion for motorcycles that included riding, racing, and working on them. He also enjoyed tractors, karate, but most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
Sam is survived by his wife Julie, children: Kimberly (Fiancé Todd Bielby) Sanders , Jeffrey (Melissa) Sanders, sister Darlene Simonds, 2 grandsons: Cody and Colton. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Janie Kaye.
Visitation 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. A private graveside service will be held the following day at Oregon Twp. Cemetery.
