Lois Mae Broecker, age 84, of Silverwood MI passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at home with her family by her side.
She was born on June 12, 1937 in North Branch, MI to the late Paul and Phyllis Pickett. Lois was the oldest of 8 children and then raised 7 of her own. She married the love of her life, Paul Broecker on October 9, 1954 in Hadley, MI. Lois was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, embroidery, reading and spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her dogs, especially Patch. Lois was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville, MI.
Lois is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul; children, Leroy (Cindy) Broecker, Laureen (Mark) LeFevre, Deeann (Mark) Smerdon, Dean (Terry) Broecker, Kenneth (Laura) Broecker and Danielle Broecker; grandchildren, Kimberly, Alicia, Thomas, Ashley, Joshua, Jeremy, Jolene, Courtney, Brendon, Kyle, Emily and Devin; many great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nancy Broecker; siblings, Judy Dunham, Linda Earl, Patty Rauh, Verna Gorski and John Pickett.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Broecker; grandson Ryan LaJoie; inlaws, Adolph and Olive Broecker; siblings, Lonnie Pickett and Paul Pickett; sister-in-law, Vivian Pickett; and brothers-in-law, Dave Earl and Dale Rauh.
Per her wishes, no services have been planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
