BANFIELD, CAROL JEAN – Of Grand Blanc, age 72, died Friday, December 29, 2023 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc.
She will be cremated and laid to rest next to her mother.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to an animal shelter.
Carol was born in Flint, Michigan on March 17, 1951, the daughter of Doris (Bancroft) and Arthur Lusher.
She graduated from Kearsley High School in 1969.
She married Joe Banfield on December 24, 1995 at her home.
She was a master gardener. She loved being outdoors in her yard. She never saw an animal she didn’t want to care for. Carol also was an avid photographer; loved taking pictures of flowers and wild life.
She worked at Grand Blanc Tool Center in the sanitation department; retiring after 30 years. She loved the work environment and met a lot of friends.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Banfield;
stepsons, Joe (Patricia)Banfield of Metamora, MI and
Jeff Banfield of Bluffton, South Carolina;
2 grandsons, Wyatt and Cody;
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Bancroft; father, Arthur Lusher; son, Timothy Kettler; brother, Gary Lusher; both maternal and paternal grandparents.
