Ronald Dee Marshall went to be with his Heavenly Father, December 12,2025. He was 79 years old and married to the love of his life, Billie Lee Marshall (Joslin), on March 27, 1971. Ron’s father married us and guaranteed our marriage.
Ron attended Beecher High School and graduated in 1965. After H. S. he attended Circleville Bible College and Mott Community College.
He was a stock chaser for AC Spark Plugs. He retired after 30 years' service in 1997 as an hourly employee at the age of 51.
One of his proudest achievements was obtaining his pilot's license. He earned his Private, Instruments, and Commercial License. He bought a 1977 Rockwell Commander, Single Engine. He loved to fly out for his $100 Hamburger back in the 80’s.
Ron loved to play sports. It was his passion. Whatever sport there was, he always worked at being the best at it. He played Basketball and Baseball in his H.S. years. After his graduation from H.S., he played fast pitch softball with his H.S. teammates. He also played City League Basketball. Ron was very athletic. He could water ski backwards, snow ski. He also ran in the 10 mile Crim Race. He played in the Paddleball Nationals. Ron earned his Tennis Instructor Certificate. He taught the Durand H.S. tennis team for a season. He also taught me how to play tennis. After he retired, we spent our winters in Venice, Florida for 20 winters. Of course, we had to buy a Condo next to a tennis club so he could spend hours playing doubles on various travel teams.
He won many trophies in all the sports that he participated in. I didn’t have enough room to display all of them. This past summer he played in the Michigan Senior Olympics-Tennis Singles & Doubles even though he had 2 artificial knees. He won 2nd place with Bob Chung in Rochester. The day he
died he played tennis with a group of his friends at the Henry Ford Genesys Athletic Club. He was returning home on I69 West bound when he was involved in a fatal car crash.
Living with my husband was an adventure. We traveled abroad in our earlier years to Hawaii, Kauri, Mauri Islands, England, France, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Egypt. I always wanted to see one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Pyramids. On our 40th Anniversary, we joined up with a group of 700 people from the U.S. with Dr. David Jeremiah to visit Israel in 2011. We were baptized in the Jordan River. We also traveled in the U.S. in Ron’s airplane across the country.
Another passion of his was attending Classic Car Shows across the U.S. He also sang Karaoke and would perform for H.S. Reunions, Birthday Parties, Newmar, Tennis Parties and local town events. He would practice every night and have his friends join him to sing along with him. My mother was his biggest fan since he would sing Elvis Presley Gospel songs. Ron had many cherished friendships during his life.
He also was a dog lover. We had German Shepherds. We are expecting one in March of this year. The sire is Brad Pitt and the mother is Farah (maybe Faucet). He couldn’t wait to hold and love on her and to play with her. He was watching German Shepherd training tips on U tube videos.
Ron is survived by his wife, Billie, siblings Jeanne Pushman, Dennis Marshall and wife Cindy, Sue Graves, Faye McDaniel & husband Joe, Sue Graves, Debbie Marshall, and Kenneth Marshall. Aunts, Belva Smith and Betty Guthrie husband Roy besides many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ron is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Marshall (Wager) and his father Reverand E.E.Marshall.
