Peter James Wiegand of Lapeer (formally of Davison) age 82 died Monday February 3, 2020 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday February 10, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Family will receive visitors from 3-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contribution in Peter’s memory to the Residential Hospice.
Peter was born in Yale, Michigan on February 8, 1937 the son of the late John and Mary (Kott) Wiegand resided in the Davison area for many years. Peter was joined in marriage to Charlene Lisek on February 7, 1956 and she preceded him in death on September 6, 2004. He later was joined in marriage to Lynda Green September 5, 2008. Peter was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison; he was member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4090, and UAW Local 659.
Peter is survived by wife Lynda; children: Sharon Wiegand (Mike), Mari Burtch, Shirlee (Bill) Calbert, Judi Gibbs, Roger (Doreen) Wiegand, and Nikki Wiegand; son in law: Brian Arnold; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren; stepson Mike (Robina) Stevens; sister: Judy Monahan and host of nieces and nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by daughter, Sheila Arnold and 10 siblings. Please share your condolences at www.HansenFuneralHome.org
