TRAVERSE CITY – Gail D. Fritz returned home to our Creator on November 6 at the age of 50 at home surrounded by her loving family. Gail was born March 13, 1960 in Bellflower, California the daughter of James and Mary (Ellis) Burgess. On Sep 6, 1980 in South Boardman she married her loving husband of 30 years, Steven Neil Fritz who survives her.
“Even though illness was the occasion of my passing, the fulfillment of my purpose was the reason.” From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. John 1:16 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4.
Gail loved her gardens and floral arranging. As her health would allow, she would on a regular basis prepare floral arrangements for the Goodwill Inn, Hospice and the Third Level Crisis Center.
Gail was a woman of faith. The most important treasure she possessed was her family.
Gail is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughter, Alicia (Kyle) Fritz Caldecott; her son, Andrew Charles Fritz; a brother, Paul (Shawn) Leaf, and two nephews, Gabriel Leaf and Jordan Armstrong; and the families three dogs- Cayman, Hudson and Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Upon her wishes, cremation has taken place. The celebration will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. After the service, friends are invited to a gathering/community also at the Martinson Funeral Home.
