James Lee Williams, age 78, of Attica, Michigan died Saturday, February 27, 2021 after and long battle with A.L.S. at his home in Attica. Jim was born February 8, 1943 in Flint, MI. He is the son of the late Lynn and the late Kathleen (Campbell) Williams. Jim was raise by Kathleen and Perry Noake and he grew up on the Noake Brothers Family Dairy Farm in Elba. Jim was a graduate of Lapeer High School, Class of 1962. Jim was very involved with FFA during High School.



Jim married Gloria Jean Derrick Kopp on October 11, 1995 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Jim has lived all of his life between the Elba and Attica areas. He enjoyed going to garage sales; liked to restore the antiques that he found; sold them at 'Rusty Gold' in Lapeer. Jim had a large collection of beer steins. After high school, Jim started out at Pontiac Motors Division of General Motors for 5years. He was a Milk Delivery Truck Driver for Porritt Dairy for a few year. Jim was also a Delivery Truck Driver for Oven Fresh Bakery. Jim retired from Oven Fresh Bakery (then a part of Sara Lee Bake Goods).



Jim is survived by his wife: Gloria Williams of Attica; daughters: Kim Smith of Cadillac and Cindy Williams of Davison; sons: James Williams of North Branch and Mark Williams of Lapeer; sisters: Nancy (& J.R.) Lomerson of Attica and Mary (& Pat) Cronin of Lapeer; brother, John Williams of Lapeer; sister-in-law, Donna Williams of Lapeer; step-children, Yvonne Kopp of Imlay City, Christopher (Kelly) Kopp Cass City, Anthony Kopp of Deckerville, Roberta DeRush of Lapeer. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Matthew, Megan, Jessica, Amber, Mark, Tiffany, Crystal; step-grandchildren: Greg, Elizabeth, Carly, Rusti, Anthony, Blake, Kirsten; and twelve great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Williams; brother, Bob Williams; father, Lynn Williams, and mother, Kathleen (& Perry) Noake.



The funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, (the corner of Fourth St. and N. Main St.) Imlay City, Michigan. The family will be available for visiting hours from 2 - 5 & 6 - 8 pm Tuesday, March 2nd and from 11 am - 1 pm Wednesday, March 3rd at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City. Due to recent health concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing (six feet apart), masks (to be worn at all times), and limited occupation (25 people at a time) of the funeral home will be enforced.
