Betty J. Woodrum, 79 of Perrysburg went to heaven on December 27, 2010. She was born May 8, 1931 to Otis and Ida Meadows. Betty met her husband, Sherman by becoming pen pals while he was in Army. They married August 18, 1952 and had four wonderful children. Betty could always be found at home surrounded by children. She loved to babysit and take care of her family. Betty was also very involved in her church, Hope Community Church.
Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sherman and her children: Bonnie (Fred) Rist, Marie (Rex) Myers, and Thomas (Julie) Woodrum, brothers Richard Meadows and Alfred (Lillian) Meadows. She is also survived by her beautiful 8 grandchildren and her 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Ruth Woodrum and brother, James Meadows.
Friends will be welcomed by the family on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and then 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M at Witzler – Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, OH (419-666-3121). The funeral service for Betty will be on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Community Church of the Nazarene 5650 Starr Ave. Oregon, OH.
