Mr. William L. Carswell, 53, of Toledo, passed away Friday, December 11, 2010. He was a graduate of the Jesup W. Scott High School, class of 1975. He attended The University of Toledo and received his bachelors degree in Sociology. Mr. Carswell was the boys basketball coach for the Birmingham Elementary School where they achieved a 12-0 record last year and the city championship. He is survived by wife, Barbara Carswell; son, Lamar LaKeith Carswell; daughters, Carmen Sims and Melissa Holman; 8 grandchildren; brothers, James “Kevin” (Drea) Carswell, Sr. and Keith E. Carswell, Sr., and a host of other loving relatives and kind friends. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday December 21, 2010 with a Family Hour at 5 p.m. and Funeral Services at 6 p.m. in The C. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel, 1629 Nebraska Avenue. The Reverend Chester Taylor, Officiant.
