PETROWSKI Sr., Richard (Rich) Joseph went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and family. Rich was a graduate of Saint Agnes High School where he played football, and was a Specialist and Sharp Shooter in the Army Reserve. He loved his job at GM and retired after 46.7 dedicated years in 2009. Rich spent his retirement years traveling with his wife to see family. He loved to fish and hunt with all of his children and grandchildren. Many wonderful years were spent at Myers Lake, camping, fishing, and having the traditional Petrowski family reunion. Rich is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Jan) Sabo Petrowski (they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 9th), his children, Richard Petrowski Jr. and his fiancé, Joni Whittaker, Janet and her husband, Richard Glasgow, Tim Petrowski and his partner, Daniel (Joe) Kitson, Mike Petrowski his partner, Michael Lokken, Mary Ann Petrowski and her partner, Thomas Johnson, and Frank Petrowski and his husband, Steve Koza; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, Jaclyn, Nick, Adam, Nathan, Haley, Madison and Billy; and his great-grandchildren Autumn, Alina, Makenzie and Sophia;3 sisters; 3 brothers; He is joined in heaven with his parents, Frank and Marge Petrowski, his daughter, Jody; and his grandson, Tommy Johnson.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint. Fr. Paul Schwermer celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 10AM-2PM and 4PM-8PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. A rosary will be prayed 6PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project. www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
