EARLE, Karen Marie - Age 80, of Flint, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Landings of Genesee Valley. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Thursday and again from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Last Chance Rescue, P.O. Box 125, Fenton, MI 48430. Last Chance Rescue is ran by Karen's dear friend, Glenda Peterson Beatty.
Karen was born on April 22, 1943 in Flint the daughter of the late Christian and Glenola (Bowen) Leffler. She graduated from Flint Central High School. Karen was united in marriage to George Earle on May 16, 1963. Sadly he preceded her in death on September 17, 2016. She worked at Hudson's for many years in the shoe department before her retirement. Karen loved spending time with her family and most importantly her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed yard working, gardening, and crafting.
She is survived by her loving children, James Earle, Susan Earle and Daniel Earle; grandchildren, Carey Earle, Eric Root, Derick (Sydney) Earle, James Earle and Jenna Earle; great-grandson, Reis Earle; twin sister, Sharon (David) Jensen; sister-in-law, Judy Leffler; brother-in-law, John Gatza and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Dan Leffler; sister, Marcia Gatza; and nephew, Chris Jensen. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
