GILBERT, Kenneth James - Age 52, of Utica, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, June 1, 2023 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Henry Ford Cancer Center.
Ken was born June 17, 1970 in Bay City, the son of Daniel Charles and Shirley Ann (Raschke) Gilbert. He was a 1988 graduate of Lake Fenton High School. He received a Associates Degree in Drafting Engineering from Lansing Community College. He had resided in Utica for the past 20 years coming from Mundy Township. Ken was employed by AM General in Auburn Hills as a Senior Designer. He was a RC car racer and he enjoyed playing Mega Mec.
Surviving are: his mother, Shirley; siblings, Daniel Gilbert, Yvonne (David) Salazar and Cherie Gilbert; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly; father, Daniel Gilbert; and brother, Paul Gilbert. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
