Elvin Garrett, age 62, of Millington died unexpectedly at home on November 16, 2021.
Elvin was born January 28, 1959 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late John and Juanita Garrett. He later married Laura Stevens. Elvin attended Alcoholics Anonymous, and was proud of having 30 plus years of sobriety. He was everything CARS… from working on cars, watching drag races, attending car shows and swaps, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Elvin is survived by his children: Jennifer (Norman) Betts, Nicholas (Hope) Garrett, Alexander (Ashtyn) Garrett, siblings: Michael (Josie) Garrett, Sheila (Doug) DeVaugh, Patricia Green, 6 grandchildren: Garrett, Gavin, Alivia, Colton, Ava, Alexander Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Laura, brother Johnny.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Elvin’s Life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2021 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit with the family 3:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021.
