IRRER, Freddie LaVerne – of Clio, age 89, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at McLaren Flint. Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
Freddie was born March 9, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to the late Arnold and Berniece (Riley) Irrer. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1949. Freddie served his country in the US Air Force from 1950 – 1954. He met his wife Beryl Roberts while serving in the US Air Force and they were married April 7, 1953 in Liverpool, England. Prior to his retirement, Freddie worked for GM as a line worker with 30 years of service. He was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church. Freddie enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and watching sports, especially his hometown teams of whom he was a #1 fan. He was a dedicated family man, spending time with his family was his greatest joy in life.
Surviving are: Loving Wife of 66 years, Beryl Irrer; Children, LaVerne Irrer, Debra Blaska, Vicki (Jay) Glazier; Grandchildren, Jeff (Kinda) Cain, Brian (Karissa) Cain, John (Lisa) Blaska, Rachel Blaska, Erica (Trevor) Groombridge, Sarah (Mark) Norconk; Great Grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Olivia, Katelyn, Aidan, Matthew, Madison, Zachary, Brady, Carly, Zella, Eliza; Siblings, Thelma Ross, Robert Irrer, Connie Hopkins, David Irrer, several nieces and nephews; Beloved dog Lilly. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Siblings, Nina Phelps, Marjorie Limron, George Davis, Daughter in law, Patricia Irrer.
