HALL, James Clarence – of Davison, MI, age 91, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 2, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Interment immediately following in Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. An Odd Fellows memorial service will be held at 7 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Heart Foundation, Detroit, checks to Sandra Courneya, in James’ memory.
James was born in Leaksville, NC on September 23, 1931, son of the late James Paul and Grace Reid (Barker) Hall. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954. James married Margaret Girardeau on November 19, 1955 and she preceded him in death in 1992. He retired from General Motors in 1992 after 32 years of service. James enjoyed sitting in the sun and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Davison Odd Fellows Vernor Lodge # 400, loved to play cards and attending Flint General Hockey games with his buddy, Guy.
James is survived by daughter, Sandy (Jeff) Courneya, daughter-in-law Terri (Wesley) Earp; grandchildren, Kasi Hall, Stephanie (Luke) Hollifield and Tyler (Jordan) Hall; great-grandchildren, Jade, Paige, Addison and Lucy; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his son, James “Phillip” and daughter, Teri Hall; siblings, Polly Morris and Margie Reynolds.
