BARRETT, Donald G. – Of Flint, age 65, died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Burial of cremains at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration.
Donald was born in Flint, Michigan on June 17, 1956, the son of
The late Donald M. and Betty Lou (Bergey) Barrett.
On August 27, 2005 he married Susan J. Gawura in Flint.
He was a very proud Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps.
He was well loved by everyone. He was a Handyman and would help anyone out and never sat down.
Surviving are wife, Susan;
children, Tricia Barrett, Lisa Barrett, Jimmy Barrett, Jeremy Barrett, Robert (Tabitha) Ray and Daniel Ray;
23 grandchildren;
6 great-grandchildren;
siblings, Margaret (Jerry) Teague, Karen (Duane) Hall, Theresa Carill and David (Beth) Barrett;
many nieces and nephews;
partner in crime and brother-in-law, Andrew Gawura.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Ciara Barrett and Kim Skaggs; brother Richard Barrett.
