MILLINGTON TWP. - Shirley Joanne Yeo, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born in Flint on August 27th, 1941, to parents Paul & Bernice (Charboneau) McAllister and grew up alongside her sisters, Christine, and Paula. She was an animal lover and loved to fish. Further, she enjoyed camping and playing bingo and had a keen interest in aliens and U.F.O.s. Above all, Shirley was devoted to and loved her family deeply. She will be remembered for her caring nature and as a maternal figure to many.
She is forever loved by her children: Debra Jobson, Steven Yeo, and Daniel Yeo; 7 grandchildren; Mandy, Jennifer, Scott, Faith, Madison, Haley, and Harley. Also 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Canfield; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dee-Dee Yeo-Zalewski; parents, Paul & Bernice; and sister, Paula Baker.
The family will welcome guests to Hanlin Funeral Home – Millington, on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023, from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Services for Shirley will begin at 2 p.m. Immediately following, Shirley will be laid to rest in Millington Twp. Cemetery.
Those wishing to make donation in Shirley’s name are asked to consider the Tuscola County Humane Society.
