Ardell Lee Hargrave age 85 passed away on July 16, 2023, at his residences with his loving family by his side. Born in Flint Michigan on March 14, 1938, to John Hargrave and Sula Harris. A celebration of life service will be held Friday July 21, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI., 48503. Cremation to follow, Internment will take place at Birch Run Cemetery at a later date. He served in The United States Navy, after returning home he met the love of his life Linda Powell at a drive-in-theater, they were married on October 24, 1959, and been happily married for 64 years. Ardell managed The Coachlight Cue Billiard Hall on Fenton Rd. with his two sons Ardell Jr. & Clarence. Later, he helped at Earl’s Place (Billiard’s Hall). He was an avid hunter and loved to play billiards. Ardell is survived by his wife Linda, sons Ardell Jr., Clarence, Thomas (Rick), of Michigan, daughters Christina (Mike) Dunavan of Illinois, Denise (Charles) Williams of South Carolina, Lisa Hargrave of South Carolina, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and brother Thomas Hargrave of Florida. The Campbell family. He was preceded in death by son Otis Hargrave, parents John and Sula Hargrave, five sisters, two brothers and best friend Clarence Koenders. Our whole family would like to thank our son/brother Clarence for all of his hard work making sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. Per family’s request, Ardell wanted it stated anyone attending services to dress casually. |
