Evelyn Deloris Leach of Burton, age 77, died Monday 30, 2023 at her residence. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Evelyn’s memory to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Evelyn was born in Flint, Michigan on February 2, 1946 the daughter of the late; Ovid and Mary (Klepoch) Scharrer and has resided in the Burton area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Jack Leach Jr. on May 1, 1964 in Flint. Evelyn graduated from Atherton High School in 1964. She enjoyed antiquing and was a collector of Blue Willow glassware. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn had been employed by Bentley School System until retiring in 2001.
Surviving is her husband of over fifty-eight years, Jack, and her children: Tamberly (Rick) Cronkright, Rick Leach and Matthew Leach. She also leaves her grandchildren: Allysia, Blake, Maria, and great grandchildren: Ryderr, Mattisyn, Kesler, and Lennox. Her surviving siblings: Kenneth Scharrer, Conrad (Sue) Scharrer, Carl (Grady) Jones, and many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by great grandson Chase, sister, Barbara Johnson, and brothers, Fred Scharrer and Jack Scharrer. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
