KALISZ, Matthew Joseph – of Davison, MI, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Interment immediately following the service in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-2 PM and 4-7 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2022 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brooke and Nicole Kalisz Educational Fund, checks payable to Brooke Kalisz.
Matt was born in Lapeer, MI on July 22, 1968, son of the late Ronald and Diane (Gibson) Kalisz. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1986. Matt was the owner and operator of Michigan Mobile Home Supply. He was an avid fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines. Matt loved gardening, farming, mowing the lawn, doing yard work, taking care of his pets and spending time with his daughters.
Matt is survived by 2 daughters, Brooke Kalisz and Nicole Kalisz; 2 siblings, Raymond (Allison) Kalisz and Lisa Kalisz; former spouse, Stacey Kalisz; 2 nephews, Joseph Kalisz and Henry Kalisz; canine companion, Zeus; devoted feline companion, Frank; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Diane Kalisz; canine companion, Nuge and feline companion, Bauer.
