FLORES, Julio - Of Flint, age 77, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2316 West Coldwater Road, Flint, Father Paul Donnelly officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 3-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 9am Tuesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Julio was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico on April 17, 1940, the son of Cliserio Flores and Gudelia Sanchez. In 1968, he married Ofelia Gomez at City of Sabinas Hidalgo Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Julio was a member and a Eucharistic Minister of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He was also an usher and lector for many years. Julio retired after 32 years of service from General Motors. Julio loved to travel, take care of his home. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed long walks and nature.
Surviving are wife, Ofelia;
daughters, Diana (Ubaldo) Ramirez, Ofelia (David) Munoz, and Veronica Flores;
sister, Juana Elva Ruiz, brothers, Elfego Flores, Cliserio Flores and Jose Luis Flores;
grandchildren, Alexis West, Gabriela Ramirez, Analisia Ramirez, Briana Ramirez, Tino Ramirez, Marissa Ramirez, Nicole Flores Munoz, David Munoz Jr. and Marco Ramirez;
great-grandchildren, Layla Stevens, Nyella Perez and Paisley Wall;
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Nora Rodriguez.
