LACEY (CRAIG), RUTH LORRIANE - Of Byron, MI, formerly of Burton, MI and Port Orange, FL, age 95, died Friday, February 2, 2024 at Argentine Care Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Nate Jeffers officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ruth was born in Flint, Michigan on January 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lotha (North) Craig.
On January 31, 1947 she married Ted Lacey in Burton Michigan.
She was a former member of Bristol Road Church of Burton and Byron United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lacey was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 22 years, retiring in 1970.
She was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. She was Michigan Lioness over 30 years and former President District 110-1.
Surviving are daughter, Jeanene (Dean) Bird;
sons, Glen Andrew and Bradley Arthur Lacey;
grandchildren, Edward Alan (Ada) Bird,
Michael James (Kathleen) Lacey,
Nicole Marie (James)Stone,
Samuel Michael Braund and Jackson Richard Lacey;
great-grandchildren, Elisa Alexes (Cory) Bird-Hill,
Ty Lee, Abigail Lacey and James Stone, Jr;
great-great-grandchildren, Desirae Hill and Weston Bird-Hill;
brother, Franklin (Janet) Craig;
brother-in-law, Joseph Lacey;
furbabies, Ginger, Sandy and Huckabee
