EAREGOOD, Barbara Jean – Of Flint, age 79, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, March 12, 2021 at her residence.
Graveside service will be held at Thetford Township Cemetery at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021. There will be a dinner immediately following the graveside service at Roma’s Banquet Center, 5226 North Saginaw Road, Flint.
Barbara was born in San Mateo, California on August 17, 1941, the daughter of the late Robert and George Ann (Van Praag) Ellison.
On June 26, 1960 she married Harold Earegood, Sr. in Redwood City, CA.
She was an avid Canasta player and also enjoyed many other card games. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are children, Harold Jr. and wife Kelly Earegood,
Donald Earegood and partner Jimmie Watson,
Valerie Town and partner Larry Kinney;
grandchildren, Travis Hoban, Ashley and husband Tucker Gidcumb, Alicia and husband Jonathan Bautista, Steven and wife Morgan Earegood, Melissa and husband Shawn Collins, Michelle and husband Brandon Wolvin;
great-grandchildren, Olivia Hoban, Luciano Bautista, Layla Jones, Thomas Gidcumb, Marzia Bautista, Alyana Gidcumb, Boyd Collins and a baby girl on the way;
sisters, Edna Mae “Jeannie” Escamilla and Beverly Grush;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Earegood, Sr.; brothers, Robert and Edward Ellison; sisters, Georgeann Grubham, Muriel Roldan and Marlene Coats.
