REED, Deanna K. (Buckius) – of Montrose, age 81, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Montrose United Methodist Church - 158 E. State St., in Montrose. Pastor Norman Beckwith officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM, and at the church on Wednesday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Deanna was born on November 26, 1940, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Perry and Edna (Bishop) Buckius. She graduated from Bay City – Handy High School in 1959. Deanna married Maynard Reed on July 18, 1964, and they enjoyed 57 years together. She was a faithful member of Montrose United Methodist Church and a former member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in Bay City. Deanna enjoyed crafting, painting, quilting, sewing, and camping. Above all, her favorite was spending time with her family. She always had a smile on her face for everyone she met.
Surviving are: Loving husband, Maynard Reed; Sons: Craig Reed, and Kevin (Aimee) Reed; Granddaughters: Cheyenne (Robert) Tucker, Justice Reed, Trinity Reed, and Faith Reed; Grandson, Ronny Tatro-Reed; Sister, Joanne Hacker; Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends. Deanna was also preceded in death by: Son, Chris Reed; Sister, Shirley Burns; Brothers in law: Bill Burns, and Douglas Hacker.
