SCHOWALTER, Henry Louis Jr. - Age 71, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM, Friday June 26, 2020 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Henry was born on July 24, 1948, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Henry and Anne (Urbanik) Schowalter. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, class of 1967. Henry worked for General Motors for 27 years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angel Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Henry was an avid sports fanatic, playing golf and watching his favorite teams like the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons. He is survived by his 4 siblings, Eva (Bruce) Jackson, Teresa (Phillip) Banacki, Mark (Susan) Schowalter and Gregory (Tammy) Schowalter; and several nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Anne Schowalter; sister, Diane (John) Miller; and nephew, Matthew Banacki.
